Located at 2322 metres above the sea level in the Thaha Municipality of Nepal, Daman has inarguably the best view of the Himalayan range in the entire country. The natural beauty of Daman is charming enough to draw crowds from all over Nepal and other parts of the world.

Pretty as a picture - that is how one can perfectly describe Bandipur. This living and breathing abode of Newari culture is a hilltop settlement in the Gandaki Zone at 1030 meters, some 700 meters above the Marsyangdi River. Bandipur is a perfect weekend retreat from Kathmandu or Pokhara. The town has more of a relaxing vibe, with the laid-back ambiance of a small European neighborhood.

The Palpa district houses the ancient Tansen hill, which is of immense cultural importance. This hill town is gifted with unique architecture and rich heritage. Often called the “Darjeeling of Nepal”, it has one of the closest views of the Great Himalayas. Visitors can explore the Shreenagar hills, Rani Mahal, and Kali Gandaki River and soak in the local culture. Tansen offers comfortable homestays and cottages, along with regular bus rides from Kathmandu.

Chitlang is an ancient Newar dominant village in Nepal. Surrounded by the Chandragiri hills, it is acclaimed as one of the most popular stops in the old trading routes from Tibet to India and thus holds a rich historical significance. Chitlang serves to be the most preferred destination from Kathmandu for hiking. It is home to more than 100 species of birds, making it a haven for ornithology.

Located southwest of the capital city Kathmandu, Chandragiri Hill is one of Nepal's most loved day-trip destinations. The main destination of Chandragiri Hill is the mountaintop, from where spectacular views of the great Himalayan mountain ranges can be seen. 

This hilltown nestled in the landscapes of Nepal, is renowned for its tea, greenery, spiritual sites, and excellent climate. Visitors explore the Fikkal Bazaar, Mai Pokhari, and Antu Danda, trek to Chhintapu, or catch the beautiful sunrise at Siddhi Thumka. The Sandakpur forests are another delight with a mesmerizing view of the Himalayas. 

Situated at an altitude of 3210 m, Poon Hill is a popular short trekking destination, offering an impeccable view of sunrise and sunset. Most trekkers hike here from the village of Ghorepani to enjoy the spectacular view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The trekking trail is covered with rhododendron forest, an amazing landscape that is perfect for modest trekkers. From the top of the hill, one can get a fabulous view of the Gangapurna, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, the Dhaulagiri, and the Hiunchuli Mountains. 

Some 25 km north of Abu Khaireni, the picturesque town called Gorkha is the ancient home of the lionhearted Gorkha people. The place has immense historical and cultural significance and is dipped in tremendous natural beauty. One can spend the time staring at the green valleys and the mountains around and do nothing else for the rest of the trip. 

Stuck somewhere in between the 17th-century ambiance and 21st-century facilities, Nuwakot is one of the most attractive hill stations in Nepal. Albeit there are not many attractions to see, the Nuwakot Palace and its Durbar Square in itself are enough to draw the travelers who love to delve deep down the back alley of history. 

Jomsom is also known as Dzong-Sampa or New Fort. Jomsom lies along both banks of the Kali Gandaki River in the Mustang District of Nepal. It has developed as a quaint little mountainous town. You can find cozy shops and colorful blocks of residential houses with the snow-laden Himalayas and the azure blue sky as the backdrop.

Translating to 'Hill of Flowers', Phulchowki is a popular hill station in Nepal. It is the highest point in the southern region of Kathmandu Valley and is even accessible by road. From the top, panoramic views of the valley are best enjoyed on sunny and clear days. Rhododendrons bloom sometime in the mid-winter period and make up part of the abundant vegetation which can be seen along the foot of the hill.
