Vietnam is home to five active international airports -
Hanoi (Noi Bai International Airport)

Phu Quoc Island (Phu Quoc International Airport)
One can easily reach the country from any part of the world through regular connected flights to these international airports. Vietnam Airlines is the country's official airline.
There are regular bus services back and forth from Laos and Cambodia to Vietnam. However, make sure to have a valid visa before entering Vietnam, as visas are not issued at the border.
One can reach Vietnam by rail only from Nanning and Beijing, China. The Nanning Express stops in Hanoi, the capital city of the country at Gia Lam station. However, a trip through train is only advised when one is travelling to the northern part of the country, as the travel is not one of the most pleasing experiences owing to the slow speed of the train.
Vietnam can be travelled to from any of the bordering Indochina countries. Keep in mind that proper documents must be presented to the border officials and no visa is issued at the border.
To reach Vietnam by sea, there are two ways of entering the country from Cambodia via Mekong Delta, which are by ferry service or a cruise.
