A protected 100-square-kilometer island, Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park houses a variety of exotic species of mammals, sea creatures, birds, reptiles, and trees. Although a fantastic tourist destination, only a few tour operators have a license for the park and its affiliated islands.

The Park aims at preserving its landscapes from the dilution of modern development. Day Tours: Since the islands are a protected area, there are only government-approved tour boats allowed here. There are day tours organized from Koh, Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao. These boats can be anything from a liveaboard cruise ship to speedboats to sailboats. There are many types of boats that suit your group-size, your budget, and your needs. If you would like to have more control over your stops, time, and activities then it is best to go for a more privatized tour by hiring a private charter for your own group.

Accommodation: There are 4 park rooms and a campsite in Ko Wua Ta, the main island. These can be booked only through the DNP website in advance and can only be done from within Thailand. Payments must be made within 2 days of booking and can be made at 7-Eleven convenience stores or banks. The rooms cost 600 Baht per night for 2 people and 1,000 Baht and 1,500 Baht per night for 6 and 8 people.

Camping: Camps can be rented from the visitor center at Ko Wua Ta. It costs TBH 150 for 2 people.

Food: There is only 1 restaurant on the island. However, meals are included in the day-long tours.
