La Digue Island, along with Praslin and Mahe Islands are the main islands that tourists visit while travelling to Seychelles. La Digue is bestowed with the most picture-perfect beaches, jade green waters and beautiful bays with greenery all around.
Out of the 115 islands that make this beautiful country, La Digue is the fourth largest in size and third largest in population with around 2,000 residents that live mainly in the village of La Passe. This leaves the rest of the island virtually uninhabited which lets the island retain its natural beauty.
La Digue is known for the world-famous award-winning beach Anse Source d’Argent. Azure waters, soft golden sands and pink granite boulders make it a stunning attraction. Must-do activities in La Digue include diving, snorkelling and crystal kayaking on a glass-bottom boat. It is also one of the few places where a tortoise can be seen crossing a road. To preserve the natural beauty, no cars are allowed in La Digue. Bicycles and electric buggy is available to explore the island, while it can also be covered entirely on foot.
