Day 1: Arrival at Srinagar and Srinagar Local Sightseeing
  • Arrival at Srinagar and meeting with the Ladakh Ultimate Destination representative.
  • Transfer to the houseboat or hotel.
  • In the afternoon, explore the neighbouring places. 
  • Enjoy a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake in the evening.
  • Towards the evening, start for a local sightseeing tour. 
  • Visit the Mughal Gardens- Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh.
  • Overnight stay at houseboat.
  • After breakfast, drive to Kargil from Srinagar.
    This drive is one of the most exhilarating and beautiful drives in the world.
  • Reach Sonmarg and continue to drive towards Zojila Pass which is mostly covered with snow.
  • Reach Drass (the second coldest inhibited place in the world) and stop for refreshments and passport check.
  • Later, drive to Kargil.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.
  • After breakfast, leave for Leh. 
  • En route visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Sangam and Lamayuru.
    The Sangam is in the place called Nimu where the Zanskar River and Indus rivers merge.
  • At Sangam you can enjoy a boat ride and the view of confluence of two river (Indus and Zanskar River).
    Hall of Fame has been built by Indian army in memory of soldiers who lost their lives in Kargil war.
    Gurudwara Patthar Sahib was constructed in 1571, in memory of Guru Nanak to commemorate his visit to this region.
    Magnetic Hill is the place where you will see your car, with its engine turned off, move upwards on a steep slope.
    The dramatically located Lamayuru monastery is known to be the oldest monastic establishment in Ladakh and was founded by Rinchen Zangpo in the 10th century. The spectacular setting of this Monastery and its renowned collection of carpets, thangkas and frescoes has been attracting many people all over the world over a long time.
  • Arrival at Leh.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • Visit Shanti Stupa in the morning.
    Shanti Stupa reflects a unique architectural style, far different from the other Ladakhi Stupas. The first level of the Stupa houses a life-sized figure of Gautam Buddha, while the second level contains murals depicting three incidents in the Lord’s life- his birth, his death and attainment of ‘mahanirvana’, and his defeat of evil powers through meditation.
  • Proceed to the famous Leh Palace.
    Leh Palace is a former royal palace overlooking the town of Leh, Ladakh. Constructed in circa 1600 by Sengee Namgyal, it has nine storeys; the upper floors are occupied by the royal family, while the lower floors have stables and store rooms. Most of the palace is in deteriorated condition, and little survives of its interior decorations.
  • Overnight stay in Leh.
  • Early morning, leave for Nubra Valley via Khardongla Pass.
  • In the afternoon, check-in camps.
  • Nubra has acquired fame for its sand dunes, the cold desert that surrounds it, Bactrian camels and its breath-taking natural beauty.
  • Enjoy a Bactrian camel safari at the sand dunes.
  • The safari tour is done with double humped camels that are found only in Nubra Valley.

  • After breakfast, drive to Turtuk village.
    Turtuk is a village in the Leh district of Jammu and Kashmir. Geographically, Turtuk lies in the Baltistan Region and is one among four such villages in India, the other three being Tyakshi, Chalunkha and Thang. It is predominantly a Muslim village, and residents speak languages including Balti, Ladakhi and Urdu. Turtuk is the last outpost in India after which the Pakistan-controlled Gilgit-Baltistan begins. It is also one of the gateways to the Siachen Glacier.
  • In the evening, drive back to Hunder village in  Nubra.
  • Overnight stay at camp.
  • After breakfast, visit Disket Monastery.
    Also known as Diskit Gompa, the Buddhist center is one of the oldest and largest monasteries in Leh Ladakh. The Diskit monastery was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo in the 14th century, and at present stands atop a hill above the plains of Shayok river.
  • After that, start your day tour of Pangong Lake via Shayok.
    The Pangong Lake is around 135 kilometers away from Leh and situated at an elevation of 4,400 meters.
  • En route, cross Chang La pass and drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh.
  • Reach Pangong and enjoy the picturesque beauty of Pangong Tso Lake.
  • Overnight stay at camp.
  • After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass.
  • Enroute visit Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace and Rancho School. 
    Thiksey Monastery is the finest example of Ladakhi architecture. It is a massive twelve storey monastery complex with a number of stupas, statues, Thankas and wall paintings. There is also a large pillar engraved with the Buddha's teachings.
    Shey Monastery is located at a solitary hillock at a distance of 15 km away south of Leh. This monastery is also called Shey Palace. Main attraction in Shey Monastery is twelve feet Shakyamuni Buddha's statue.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
  • After breakfast, leave for Serchu, through Upshi.
  • This drive is going to take you along Indus river, Tanglang La Pass (2nd highest motorable road in the world), SkyangchuThang, Namkeela and Lachangla Pass.
  • Overnight stay at Serchu .
  • After breakfast, drive through Baralacha Pass.
  • Reach Keylong for lunch.
  • Drive to Manali.
  • Visit Raja Gyepan temple at Sissu Village and Rohtang Pass.
  • Drop at Manali.
